Adults in need of heart disease testing and management can rely on the expertise of Norwalk cardiologist Dr. David Lomnitz, who joined the Western Connecticut Medical Group in spring 2017.

Patients can receive cardiovascular testing from Dr. Lomnitz at Norwalk Hospital, as well as our cardiology clinic in New Canaan. Heart tests we provide at these locations include:

  • Echocardiogram
  • Heart stress tests
  • Holter monitoring

Dr. Lomnitz provides care for patients with heart conditions such as:

  • Angina, or recurrent chest pain
  • Atrial fibrillation (AFib) and other heart arrhythmias, or rhythm disorders
  • CardioMEMS monitoring, which we conduct with patients over the phone
  • Cardiomyopathy, which includes diseases of the heart muscle
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Coronary artery disease, as well as prevention
  • Heart attack
  • Heart valve diseases, including aortic valve stenosis, mitral valve stenosis, and mitral regurgitation
  • High blood pressure, or hypertension
  • Inherited heart disorders
  • Syncope, or fainting due to insufficient blood flow to the brain
  • Valvular heart diseases

Dr. Lomnitz also has a special interest in cardio-oncology, which is specialized heart care for people who have undergone cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or chest radiation.
